Share food with a story

Meet Andrew
One of our Recipe for Change cooks.

All recipes are written by people that have experienced the devastating impact of the housing emergency. They'll tell you their stories, so you can share them with your guests too.

When I was homeless and living in hostels with no access to food storage or preparation areas, being able to make dinner for myself helped maintain my dignity - the little bit of ‘me’ that was left during a really tough time. I didn’t have a table, so I used to use a clean T-shirt spread on the bed and picked up sauces from fast food outlets as I didn’t have a fridge. Being homeless means you learn to improvise.
